The draught proofing calculator is here to help with calculating quantity of draught proofing material required when insulating your new or refurbishing existing sash windows.

The draught proofing calculator is set to workout how long the parting bead should be ie. 2.4m or 3m thus avoiding wastage. When inputting the size, (measurement A) which is the internal height of your window/box it will supply enough parting bead to do both sides of the vertical sides of the window.

It will also work out the amount of brush carrier needed to do inside bead of the window which we call staff beading. This is the bead which goes around the inside of the window which also secures the bottom sash covering the left and right of the vertical section of the window across the top and bottom. It will also calculate brush carrier in the meeting rail of the window. This is the position where the two windows meet when the top and bottom sashes are closed (w) Dimension.
